Welcome to Harp Camp Virginia, 2021, our sixth year. On July 18, 2021, a small group of harpists will gather once again at the Acorn Inn in Faber, Virginia, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Nelson County.
What do we have in common? We love to play the harp! We all know there is much to learn, and this is a safe place to explore new ideas and develop our skills. We also love to have fun learning to perform and growing as musicians . . . while making new friends and enjoying the great outdoors.
The Acorn Inn, our venue, is fully self-contained with 10 rooms (single or double) two charming comfy living room spaces and an amazing gallery/performance room where our harps remain throughout (no harp-schlepping)! Sleepover campers range from 10 to 18 years of age. Day campers (youth or adult harpists) come from Charlottesville and surrounds or afar and some may stay at B&B’s close by.

Our days are planned reaching into the arts and humanities as we develop ourselves as harpists. Our presenters, all well-known in the their fields, enthusiastically share their gifts of music, dance, story-telling, hospice, therapeutic music, sports, animal rescue, etc. We gather for workshops, field trips, fun at the lake, daily ensemble practice or simply playing with and for one another.

A highlight of the week is an afternoon at the lake where campers chill, swim, learn to canoe or paddle-board, swing on a tire or play with Harp Camp Mascot, Sampson, the Boxer.

Our closing night performance is always spectacular! Family and friends gather at the Acorn Inn for refreshments and a concert with “Harp Song of the Blue Ridge”—always an amazing and exquisite event. Join us for camp or come to our concert!
